The Winthrop Crawfish Festival is one of those community events that brings a big crowd out and actually delivers. Crawfish, live music, local vendors and a Saturday afternoon that doesn't require driving far to have a good time.

Hillsborough County broke ground this week on a $1.2 billion wastewater project -- and it covers basically everywhere we write about.
The One Water South project is a major infrastructure build that includes a new treatment plant, a high-capacity pump station, and a pipeline network designed to keep up with South Hillsborough's growth well into the future. The county says the system is built to meet regional demand through at least 2050.
Communities in the coverage area include Apollo Beach, Brandon, Riverview, Gibsonton, Ruskin, Wimauma, Sun City, and Valrico.
Not the most exciting headline, but it matters. This kind of investment doesn't happen in areas that aren't growing. More infrastructure capacity means more homes, more businesses, and more development coming this way. The groundbreaking was held Thursday out in Lithia.
