U.S. Special Operations Forces, alongside military units from 10 partner nations, take over the Tampa Bay waterfront for a live tactical demonstration during SOF Week 2026. Think helicopters, waterborne operations, and the kind of thing you don't see unless you're in the right place at the right time. Best viewing spots are the Tampa Convention Center, the Riverwalk, Harbour Island, and Bayshore Boulevard. No tickets required. More

A Kitten Place is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue serving the Tampa Bay area including right here in Brandon, where they're based out of a P.O. box on their way to someone's next forever home. There's no physical shelter. Every cat and kitten in their care is living with a volunteer foster family until the right adopter comes along.
They rescue abandoned, sick, and injured kittens and cats, coordinate foster placements, run a TNVR program for community cats, and connect animals with adopters across the area. If you've ever spotted a litter of kittens outside and didn't know what to do, they're the people to call.
Right now they have cats and kittens available for adoption, and they're always looking for foster families, volunteers, and donors. Even a small contribution covers food, litter, or medical care for an animal in need.
