Good morning, neighbors ☀️

Day two of summer. The novelty hasn't worn off yet, but someone's already bored.

While the kids figure out how to fill three months of freedom, a lot of families are quietly dealing with something a little heavier: what happens when Mom or Dad needs more help than you can give on your own?

That's where Vhin Cares comes in. They're a family-owned assisted living company right here in Brandon and Valrico, with homes on Pearl Circle, Buckhorn Trace, and Clayton Street. Small homes, low caregiver-to-resident ratios, home-cooked meals, and the kind of personalized attention that bigger facilities just can't replicate. If you've been wondering whether it's time to have that conversation with your family, start by scheduling a tour. No pressure, just a look around. Visit vhincares.com or call (813) 678-2363.

Now let's get into what's going on around East Hillsborough this week. 👇

Summer just started and the kids already need somewhere to put all that energy.

Action Karate in Valrico is doing something worth knowing about this month. Any new student who enrolls in June gets their dad trained free for the entire month. Family classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, so dads and kids are on the mat at the same time. No splitting up. No extra trips. Just showing up and working toward something together.

They also have a Dads and Pads Brunch on Saturday, June 13th from 11 to noon. Come see the gym, meet the instructors, and try it before you commit to anything.

Classes run from ages 3 all the way up to adults, and the instructors, Mr. K and Mrs. G, have been teaching here for years with a 5-star reputation to show for it. Right off Lynx Paw Trail in Valrico. Call (813) 535-4191 or visit actionkarate.net to learn more.

A new Planet Fitness is opening in Brandon, and that's worth paying attention to.

Not just because it means a $10/month gym is coming to Lithia Pinecrest Road, but because of what it signals. National brands don't pick locations randomly. They run the numbers, look at rooftops, household income, traffic counts, and growth projections. When a chain like Planet Fitness plants a flag in your neighborhood, it's because the data says this area is growing and worth investing in.

That's good news for anyone who owns property around here.

The Construction Preview Event is this Saturday, June 6th from 10 AM to 5 PM at 911 Lithia Pinecrest Rd in Brandon. Free club tours, giveaways, games, and live music with WLLD FM from 11 to 1. There's also a grand opening offer running through June 7th: $1 down, $19.99/month, and your first month free on the Black Card membership.
